Roles At Goose Creek Heating & Air

  • Junior Installer

    • Assist in unloading and organizing job material at job site
    • Assist Installers and Lead Installers with installation of and repairs on Ductwork, Heat Pumps, Furnaces, Package Units, Dehumidifiers, and Vapor Barriers on residential homes and commercial buildings
    • Assist in cleaning job site during and after installation
    • Begin a GCHVAC pathway based on career goals
  • Installer

    Residential

    • Perform installation of and repairs on Ductwork, Heat Pumps, Furnaces, Package Units, Dehumidifiers, and Vapor Barriers on residential homes
    • Work under the supervision of the Lead Installer and Quality Control Supervisor
    • Assist Junior Installers during installation
    • Ensure the HVAC equipment that was installed is clean and safe upon departure
    • Answer any questions that the homeowner or property manager may have
    • Communicate with Install Coordinator as needed
    • Successfully achieve proficiency in level 2 abilities according to the Residential Install Path

    Commercial

    • Perform installation of and repairs on Ductwork, Heat Pumps, Furnaces, Package Units, Dehumidifiers, and Vapor Barriers on commercial buildings
    • Work under the supervision of the Lead Installer and Quality Control Supervisor
    • Assist Junior Installers during installation
    • Ensure the HVAC equipment that was installed is clean and safe upon departure
    • Answer any questions that the general contractor, facility manager, or business owner may have
    • Communicate with Install Coordinator as needed
    • Successfully achieve proficiency in level 2 abilities according to the Commercial Install Path
  • Lead Installer (Currently Hiring)

    Residential

    • Educate homeowner or property manager on products being installed
    • Oversee installation of Ductwork, Heat Pumps, Furnaces, Package Units, Dehumidifiers, and Vapor Barriers
    • Have an understanding of system design and operation
    • Understand the billing order and collect monies owed for the install
    • Complete all necessary paperwork
    • Ensure all unused material is returned to the warehouse
    • Assist Junior Installers and Installers and help train them
    • Manage vehicle inventory
    • Responsible for vehicle
    • Report to Quality Control Supervisor overseeing the project
    • Ensure all material has been provided to complete the job
    • Successfully achieve proficiency in level 3 abilities according to the Residential Install Path

    Commercial

    • Communicate with business owners, general contractors, or facility managers and answer any questions 
    • Have an understanding of blueprints, system design, and system operation
    • Oversee installation of Ductwork, Heat Pumps, Furnaces, Package Units, Dehumidifiers, and Vapor Barriers
    • Understand the billing order and collect monies owed for the install
    • Complete all necessary paperwork
    • Ensure all unused material is returned to the warehouse

    • Have a basic understanding of the refrigerant cycle, typical components, and typical maintenance procedures
    • Ability to identify HVAC equipment and components of HVAC equipment
    • Renew maintenance agreements as needed
    • Understand the billing order and collect monies owed
    • Complete all necessary paperwork
    • Manage vehicle inventory
    • Responsible for vehicle
    • Have necessary tools to complete job

  • Plumbing Technician (Currently Hiring)

    - Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings

    - Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of plumbing systems

    - Cut, thread, and bend pipes using hand tools or power tools

    - Weld or solder pipes and fittings together

    - Collaborate with construction teams to ensure plumbing systems are installed correctly during the construction process

    - Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent leaks or other issues

    - Respond to service calls to troubleshoot and repair plumbing problems

    - Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used


    Experience:

    - Previous plumbing experience is required

    - Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for pipe cutting, threading, and bending

    - Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks

    - Valid drivers license

  • Quality Control Supervisor

    • Inspect jobs during and after installation
    • Ensure all jobs are completed according to timeline
    • Ability to lay jobs out
    • Assist all levels of installers and/or service technicians when necessary
    • Ensure all jobs follow safety regulations and codes
    • Work alongside Product Specialists and Project Managers
    • Oversee all subcontractors
    • Turn in all paperwork provided by the Lead Installers and any received payments
    • Communicate with homeowners, builders, and general contractors as needed
    • Report to jobs daily
    • Provide material lists when necessary
    • Conflict resolution
    • Troubleshoot issues that arise within 30 days of installation
    • Provide technical support for installers and service technicians
    • Report daily to the Operations Manager
    • Successfully complete GCHVAC QCS pathway
  • Warehouse Associate

    Work under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor and Purchasing Manager to complete daily tasks including: 

    • Picking up parts
    • Pulling material for jobs
    • Unloading delivery trucks
    • Maintaining warehouse cleanliness and organization
    • Mark inventory with identifying information
    • Assist with all aspects of warehouse tasks as needed
    • Adhere to all safety standards and operating procedures

    Must be able to: 

    • Pull a trailer
    • Lift 50 pounds or more
    • Operate forklift
    • And must have a valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Warehouse Supervisor

    Work under the direction of the Purchasing Manager to: 

    • Ensure all deliveries arrive on time
    • Check material in and out of the warehouse
    • Distribute parts to service technicians as needed
    • Complete spot checks on inventory
    • Check over pulled jobs to ensure all material has been provided
    • Manage inventory software
    • Receive refrigerant logs from service technicians
    • Check-in and out tools
    • Verify incoming inventory
    • Process material and warranty returns

    Must be able to: 

    • Pull a trailer
    • Lift 50 pounds or more
    • Operate forklift
    • And must have a valid driver's license with clean driving record
